Through persistent dialogue with unions and government over nine months, 7,000 jobs were saved without a single forced retrenchment. Not shying away from crisis, Botha also played a key role in labor court negotiations and strike management during a billion-rand equipment hijacking incident, once again showcasing his ability to manage complex legal and operational challenge.
